Inventory shipment

When DutchConnect made there first plans for the bakery project, we planed to buy all materials and inventory in Sri Lanka. As the project developed it became bigger than planned in the first stage. This also required bigger and more machines and inventory. After a reshuffle of the budgets we still faced a deficit in the available funds. During the last year DutchConnect has often been offered Bakery inventory etc. For these two reasons DutchConnect has decided to accept the offered machines and bakery equipment and ship them to Si Lanka. All collected items are in good condition and can serve the DutchLanka bakery for many years to come.

In the DutchLanka bakery concept, continuity of the electric power supply is one of the main issues. For that reason the bakery needs a good back-up power generator witch will be send in the shipment to Sri Lanka.

Wednesday the 18th of June the container was loaded, and left to the Rotterdam harbor. The next Friday the container boarded and left for Colombo. It will approximately arrive there on the 16th of July. Hopefully the goods will be customs cleared without delay so the machines can arrive on the site in the third week of July. By then the Dutch senior bakery expert Henk Bom will be in Sri Lanka to receive the shipment. He will be supervising the installation of the machines and the DutchLanka bakery start-up.
