DutchConnect - Sri Lanka Vocational training project -
Dutch Connect is initiator of a bakery training project In the village Baddegama in the south of Sri Lanka. This project will give an opportunity to disadvantaged youth to learn an occupation and develop themselves into self-assured, independent people.
On this pages you can follow the project developments.For realization of this project DutchConnect teamed up with the Sri Lankan Nirmanee Development Foundation. NDF will carry out all necessary actions to realize and exploit the bakery training centre. For this the project is split in to two inextricable parts.
1.
Vocational bakery training.After finishing the training successfully, NDF will take all effort, trying to provide the graduated students with suitable jobs.
2.
Commercial bakery,
Dutch Lanka Bakery.
The bakery will serve as the training place for the students.
Possible profit from DLB will be used for strengthening of the business
and training part of the project as well as for realization of job
opportunities for the students.
The training part is supervised by the Vocational Training Authority in Si Lanka. The commercial bakery will been run by a local board under supervision of NDF. The project is financed by private donators and funds from organizations, businesses and institutions.
